1992 Porsche 964 RS

This lovely silver left hand drive RS has had just two owners from new, the second British owner, a collector of only the best cars has owned it since 2000. It has covered 45,000 miles and has a good, detailed history. Unusually it remains in very good original order throughout having avoided the heavy track use and modifications that most have experienced.

The car was bought new by an Italian lady from official Porsche dealer Dr Guy Befetich as noted in the original service book on file. It was serviced for this first owner by Porsche dealers only, initially the supplying dealer and later by Negbo Automobile, the dealer in Treviso. The last service was completed in March 1999 at 27,490 km.

Later in 1999 the car was purchased by the highly respected Porsche specialist dealer Thomas Schmidt based in Telge, Germany. He is known for offering only the finest original examples of the rarer Porsche models. The last owner purchased the car from him upon it being advertised and imported it into the UK in September 2000. The original bill of sale from Schmidt confirms the mileage at point of sale to be 34,400 km.

Since purchase the RS has been enjoyed on dry summer roads and stored at all other times in a heated and dehumidified environment. The history file shows careful maintenance over the years by well-known Porsche specialists. The well-regarded Motec engine management system has been fitted, this giving vastly better cold starting, smoother running and more power, A Dyno sheet from 2012 following the completion of this conversion indicates a peak power of 330 bhp. This work was completed by Ninemeister and is completely reversible, all remaining parts remain with the car as does the original steering wheel. A nicer to use 993 RS wheel is currently fitted.

Following its arrival we sent the car to highly regarded specialists RPM Technik for inspection and major service. Anything required was dealt with including a new set of tyres due to age.

So here we have a nice specification and lightly used two-owner RS in very good original condition in all respects. It comes with all books, tools, keys, a substantial history file and original parts. A rare find that drives beautifully, it just feels right in all respects.
