A UK right hand drive 280 SL Automatic with hard and soft tops in superb condition following a no expense spared restoration by all the right people.
The Pagoda was an extremely good example prior to this work, however, the new owner demanded Pagoda perfection. To this end Roger Edwards who previously maintained the car dealt with the mechanical renovation including a full engine rebuild which the new owner insisted upon despite being told by R Edwards that it was not necessary. Mercedes body supremo Nigel Cooper undertook a full body strip repair and repaint and celebrated Mercedes interior specialist Kevin O Keene retrimmed the car. This work is documented in the history file as is a great deal of additional detail such as the rebuild of the original Becker Grand Prix stereo with MP3/ phone extension lead into the glovebox and Bluetooth.
Finished in great colours for a Pagoda, midnight blue with parchment leather interior, the car really is in the finest unmarked condition throughout with exceptional detail. I have been enjoying the car during our recent lovely Autumnal weather and can confirm that it drives very well indeed, having clearly been well sorted by those who know.
This is exactly how a Pagoda should be.
