1973 Porsche 911 2.4S

Only 56 examples of the 2.4S model were supplied new to the UK market in 1973, of which only four were finished in silver. This superb example retains its factory specification in all other respects as well with matching numbers and many desirable options including electric windows and sunroof, Recaro Sports Seats, tinted glass and correct Blaupunkt radio.

The car has a great history from new, it has been owned by a number of noted Porsche collectors over the years including marque specialist Mark Waring, during which the car featured in a Porsche Magazine article. It must now be one of the finest examples of its type following a complete restoration project managed by Mark Waring in 2002. Prior to this work, the car was to all intents and purposes a very nice example that drove well, however perfection was required by the owner, and this is what he got!

The history file documents the fastidious nature and detail of the work completed. Every area was addressed by the appropriate specialist with the aim of making the car exactly as it would have been when leaving the factory in 1973. The aim was not to just create a show car, it had to drive exactly as it would have and this has certainly been achieved. It drives beautifully showing the tightness and fluency of a Porsche sorted by those who know.

We purchased the car the first time in 2007 and sold it immediately to a Porsche enthusiast. He sold it back to us a few years later and since then we have sold it twice, each time to a fastidious owner with a fine eye for quality.

The car remains in superb condition throughout having been used minimally in fine conditions and carefully looked after by Porsche specialists. Most recently maintenance has been entrusted to established Porsche specialists Gantspeed who have always been instructed to complete any work required following inspection, as documented in a number of invoices.

A lovely right hand drive 2.4S with a great specification that wants for nothing.
